This picture was taken from my backyard garden and urban chickens. What a wonderful summer. My daughter and I have learned so much and are planning next spring. The funniest moment of the season was when my daughter found her first potato and then it became a “free for all” treasure hunt for the rest. Then the question… “Well what happened to the BIG potato – the one I planted?” When I explained that it was used to feed the plant and the new potatoes she didn’t quite see it that way.
For now, we are enjoying what we can in the last days of the Summer growth and WOW it tastes good.
